RALPH LAUREN THE ARRIVAL

I worked directly with David Lauren of Ralph Lauren, to explore new ideas and storytelling innovations that would make it possible to bring an entirely new brand experience to the world of fashion. Tasked with the open brief to create a 'never seen before event' in London that utilized previously unused technologies we set to work exploring the current and future tech landscape.

In parallel to our tech research I set about writing narratives that drew on the rich history of the Polo Ralph Lauren brand, created relevancy for a modern Polo consumer and fired the imagination and desire for the Polo lifestyle.

Initial stories and sketches combined with our tech research into the use of autonomous swarm flight of drones, created a strong lead towards confirming that an airborne fashion show was indeed possible. A projectable structure carried by drones, created a platform for creativity and filmic content. Suddenly the possibilities appeared to be endless, and a genuinely new experience could be designed. Due to the requirement of a secure telemetry flight system the project went on hold until technological advancements could be made.
